Overview

TO CELEBRATE THE NIGHT OF CULTURE BRESCIA 2024, THE MUNICIPALITY OF BRESCIA COMMISSIONED US TO CREATE THE NEW LOGO AND VISUAL IDENTITY TO PROMOTE THIS VERY IMPORTANT AND UNIQUE EVENT, WHICH EVERY YEAR CELEBRATES THE ARTISTIC AND CULTURAL HERITAGE OF THE CITY. THIS EVENING REPRESENTS AN EXTRAORDINARY OPPORTUNITY TO OPEN THE DOORS OF MUSEUMS, ART GALLERIES, BOOKSHOPS AND OTHER CULTURAL SPACES UNTIL LATE AT NIGHT, OFFERING VISITORs AN ENGAGING IMMERSION IN THE BEAUTY OF BRESCIA.

Brand Identity approach

The main challenge for us was to create a distinctive symbol, able to blend modernity and tradition, while maintaining a strong link with the historicity of Brescia. Our goal was to create a logo that was recognisable, contemporary and attractive to a heterogeneous target audience, involving both young people and adults.

 

THE FINAL RESULT IS A LOGOTYPE THAT COMBINES GRAPHIC INNOVATION AND ICONIC REFERENCES TO THE CITY.

The structure of the symbol is based on geometric shapes that recall the initials of the event: NDC (Night of Culture). Within these shapes, we included the outlines of the Loggia and the Capitoline Temple, two highly recognisable symbols of Brescia, thus creating an immediate visual connection with the territory. To further enrich the concept, we included a stylised representation of the moon, a symbol of the night mood that characterises the event.

In terms of typography, we chose a minimal, modern and linear font, which guarantees legibility and versatility and is ideal to be used on different platforms. The bright and pop colour palette was designed to project the brand into the future, offering a strong, overwhelming and dynamic visual communication. The simplicity of the shapes, combined with the bright colours, makes the logo ideal for creating patterns and decorative elements, both in digital contexts and on physical media.

Corporate but also digital applications

The logo of the Brescia 2024 Night of Culture was designed to adapt to multiple platforms: from social channels to traditional advertising campaigns, to maps and printed materials of the event, such as roll-ups and posters. Thanks to its strong recognisability and the flexibility of the design, the brand guarantees consistency and visual impact in every format, ensuring a visual presence that is perfectly suited to contemporary communication needs.

Press

We attended the press conference for the presentation of the Brescia 2024 Culture Night, where the new logo and visual identity of the event were unveiled to the public. In addition to the Mayor of Brescia Laura Castelletti, the meeting was attended by representatives of the City Council, representatives from the world of culture and communication, as well as numerous journalists.
